It's Barn Sale week!

Our annual Barn Sale is our biggest sale of the year, where we pull good junk from every nook and cranny! It's a tradition we started even before Rural Route Rust was a thing, when we collected antiques for ourselves and for our pumpkin patch gift shop. It's grown every year as our business has changed and expanded. More than just the barn, the schoolhouse is full, displays will spill out into the lawn, and for the first time ever we're opening our garage/storage area to shoppers!

As we do every year, we've been borderline-hoarding too much stuff ("Ooh, what a great project piece! We'll get to that....eventually!") The oncoming arrival of pumpkin patch season is always a motivator to clear out the excess, but this year we're even more inspired because we hope to get cement poured in the garage and it's too full of STUFF. Resellers are invited and encouraged to come take advantage of our motivation to purge!

So here's the skinny. The sale is this Friday, July 19th through Sunday, July 21st. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The address is 911 108th St., Avoca, NE. Take Highway 34 to 108th St. (watch for the white signs -- the turnoff is two miles east of the Avoca corner.) Then we're just a half mile north. There is ample parking and admission is free. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

We're planning on a kettle corn vendor (they also sell delicious lemonade!) and we'll be providing free bottled water. It will be a hot one, but we have lots of fans in the buildings. And here's an insider's tip: if you see cars parked up the driveway keep driving and come closer to the building site -- there are usually great parking spots up front, but most people don't check.

There are additional vintage/antique businesses in the area that will be open, so plan to make a day of it. There is a Junk Market at Carole's Vintage Finds in Weeping Water along with a cute coffee/gift shop on Main Street. Junktion in Union, and Lyle's Barn Again Antiques, rural Union, are open. Or if you're going north check out the shops of Louisville and Robin's Nest in Springfield.

We look forward to seeing you soon! Our regular August market is Aug. 3-4 if you can't make it this weekend.
