It's been awhile since my last post. We spent February and March preparing for two big shows, the Marburger Farm Antique Show in Round Top, TX Apr. 2-6 and Junk Bonanza in Shakopee, MN Apr. 11-13. We left Texas on a Sunday morning during a summer-like thunderstorm. By Wednesday we were wearing our snow boots in Minnesota in a snowstorm. What a fun, educational, tiring, exhilarating whirlwind!
Since Junk Bonanza it's been full steam ahead preparing for the first event on the year at our farm, which we're calling A Garden Market with Friends. This is a new event for us, replacing our big vintage + handmade vendor market. A Garden Market with Friends will be a more intimate event, with a few local makers setting up in our one-room schoolhouse, a coffee/wine trailer, church ladies' lunch tent, make-&-take fairy gardens, and of course lots and lots of vintage and antique goods from our hunting and gathering. My good friend Barbara of Rusty Memories will be a guest vendor with her vintage planted containers, flowers and garden "junk". It's shaping up to be a great weekend, with nice weather predicted and lots of great shopping to be had. For now, it's time for a shower and couch nap, as there's lots to be done in the next 4 days. Come see us if you're in the neighborhood!
